TODAY'S YOUTHS AND THEIR VISION-LESS LIFESTYLE - PART ONE OF TWO

Today’s Youths and Their Vision-less Lifestyle

In a world like ours, where beings come into existence and beings pass out, it is seldom times referred to as a stage, where everyone has a part to play. When one grows up to know that he exists, he becomes inquisitive, he begins to learn from his elderly ones just as the famous quote ‘If you want the road ahead, ask those coming back’, on the long-run, what he saw others do, especially his elderly ones, that he emulates. In this type of world, one will agree with me that the attitude or lifestyle of a youth is mostly dependent on the things he saw, learnt, observed, and also the kind of lifestyles, teachings, celebrities and role models that were active during his youthful stage. Or we can say that, the environment one grows in, has a way of inculcating characters in him.
Let us analyze the attitude or lifestyle of the present youths, whose attitudes are quite unbecoming of the youths of old. They show lackadaisical attitude towards things that matters most in life. The youths of today, it is quite unfortunate but they waste their precious time in things that add no value to their lives, oh one may say if they really see time as a precious thing, perhaps most don’t. They lack vision, thereby struggling in vain. They are incapable of seeing their opportunity. They delight in doing evil and they indulge in unscrupulous activities. The generation of youths you can term hopeless where a straight line cannot be drawn between the lifestyle of an average youth today and that of a lazy man in the old.
One may ask, what caused or brought about this unruly attitude of the present youths. Is it that they didn’t learn from their elders or that the environment taught them bad?  Technology can be part of the contributing factors, the kind of lifestyles that is been hailed may be another.

However, in the next post, we will talk of the causes and the possible panacea.
